DHEA has been used by women under 40 who have autoimmune disease, such as rheumtoid arthritsi or Multiple scleroisis at the 50-100 mg per day dose. DHEA is
the basis for the producition of other hormones, and is thought to slow age related mental decline. Recent studies have shown its possible effectivness for depression which has a midlife or later onset.

Men hve used DHEA for low libiod, fatigue, and for some diabetics at 25- 10 mg. per day.
