| Oregano essentail oil comes form the plan origanum vulgare, also called Wild Marjoram.. One pound of the oil containing active ingredients thymol and carvacol is produced from about 200 pounds of the herb which must be gathered when it is just coming into flower, early in July.
Common traditional uses of Oregano include --
