BREATHING- They Don't call it 'The Breath of Life ' for Nothing!
Breathing is the source of our most important nutrient - oxygen, and the way we get rid of waste carbon dioxide. In India they say it carries Prana, or life force. The average American exchanges 500 CC of air with each breath, yet our lungs have an average 3500 CC capacity. The excess carbon monoxide we breath out is one of the bodies acidic wastes. Every wonder why your tired without reason? Every wonder where that headache is coming from? Try taking a deep full breath way down into your stomach filling for the count of 12 and emptying for the count of 12, do this 3-7 times when you think of it or when you feel stressed out or upset. Careful now, not too much, you're not used to all that fresh oxygen! Really want to get into this breathing, take a simple yoga class which emphasizes breathing or buy a book such as The Art of Breathing by Nancy Zi , and follow the exercises.
These exercises will reward you many times over, you can do them anywhere, and once you know them, you'll be able to call on them in times of stress, anxiety, or fatigue for the rest of your life.
